If you’re looking for a real luxury in a phone, then I bet this Cartier-adorned Motorola A1600 would end your search.

There’s nothing so special and new about this Motorola MING A1600 in terms of the specs. It is still like the original model which boasts a 2.4-inch TFT touch screen display with stylus, GPS and A-GPS that allows turn-by-turn navigation, Linux Operating System, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, Bluetooth 2.0, talking dictionary, business card reader, and a microSD card support that is expandable up to 4GB. It also has the standard multimedia functions like music player, video player, 3.0 megapixel camera with autofocus function, built-in LED flash, 8x digital zoom, macro mode and video recording.

This Motorola Cell Phone MING A1600 Gold Edition still has the hallmark transparent screen cover, only that it is accentuated with gold. They have also managed to put some crocodile skin material at the back.

With all that gold covering the MING A1600, this phone retails for about $867. The retail package also includes a business card holder from Cartier. This is truly a luxury piece that many would probably prefer than any other weird looking gold phones out there.

Christian Dior announces the release of the second generation of their luxury phone line just in time for the holidays.

The new luxury phone line will be launched in December 2009 and will feature gold plated and black PVD-coated handsets with sapphire crystals.

The two models are the Zelie with red casing which costs around $7,900 and the Zenaide in white which retails for $13,400.

Limited to just one hand crafted unit, the Vertu Boucheron 150 could be the world’s first phone made from solid gold. Supposedly, it “took 1,000 hours to cut into shape, 700 hours to hand polish, and more than 500 hours to build.” Click here for one more picture.
