Y-3 dedicated part of their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection to the upcoming FIFA Soccer World Cup next year. The Classic Field Style sneaker comes in gold with black adidas logo striped and the corresponding country color on the side-panels. Matching they also present some t-shirts. Look out for a release some time mid next year.

Gravis has released a nice premium version of its Lowdown HC – the Lowdown HC Deluxe. The high top sneaker comes in brown and in white, with both featuring a crocodile skin upper, gold and silver applications, as well as other nice details. The sneakers are now available from Flauge.

We present you the Spring/Summer 2010 sneaker collection by French high fashion brand Givenchy. The brand worked on a low top and a super high top for the season. Both come in gold metallic, white and black. The most interesting design feature of the two silhouettes is probably the open construction, making them suitable for the hot summer days.

For most of you, these two styles might be a little too extreme. We think that that is exactly what high fashion should be doing. Rather than copying and getting inspired by athletic footwear brands, we want to see them go further, of course only in terms of style, we do not expect the technology to be up there. The design should be innovative and frankly it should not be for everyone. After all nobody feels like spending above 500 USD on his sneakers and then seeing tons of other people in the same ones.

Perhaps that is just the reason why designers are forever busy to put the bling tastefully together like the fols at Miu Miu. The Crystal-Heel Sandals that they have come up with is as gorgeous as the sun shining in the sky.

Evoking an old-time charm, these sexy and sleek sandals come with plenty of glitzy and big sized crystals neatly pressed onto the heels. The exterior is covered with molten gold witha tones down finish to balance the sparkle of the crystals.

Costing an estimated US$35,000, this pair of leather sneakers laminated with gold leaf is definitely a head-turner. The company also produces gold clutch bags and purses too.

Converses all new all gold Converse Chucks now have a zipper in the back for those of you who wanted a zipper on the back of your shoe. All the leather parts of the chuck are gold. The sole, mid sole, and toe box of the shoe are white with the traditional black stripe that the classic black and white chucks have and they have a black interior. I think this would make as a collectors chuck just to have but never to wear.

Following up on our recent preview of the gold pair in the Undefeated x PUMA 24k collection, PUMA gives us a closer look into the fifth and final pair. The shoe features mirror gold leather, matching midsole stitching and a perforated formstrip. In addition to the material upgrade the shoe also has a studded Undefeated “five strikes” logo piercing through the outer collar. In contrast to the suede silhouettes in the 24K Collection, this mid will be extremely limited and will only be sold in Undefeated stores: with 24 pairs available at the Tokyo location, 24 pairs at the La Brea L.A. store, and an additional 24 pairs split up between the other three Undefeated U.S. locations. Released date was slated for Saturday, February 7th, 2009.

Talk about conspicuous consumption! I know Paul Simon sang about Diamonds on the Soles of Your Shoes, but this is getting ridiculous. These are Louis Vuitton’s ‘Feerique’ sandals, and that’s not just a gold coloured heel and sole – no, that’s actual gold plating. Well, they’re certainly eye-catching, with that cut-out heel and purple satin straps (yes, that is gold plating on the buckle, too), but I suspect these shoes may be the footwear equivalent of the “trophy wife” – the kind of thing people will buy just for the sake of being able to walk around on gold. Or maybe they’ll buy them because they love them, who knows? At $855 they’re certainly not cheap, but I’m actually surprised they’re not more expensive given what they’re made of. Would you wear them, though?

Liu Xiang Gold Running Shoes are a pair of pure gold shoes carved with the name of world record-holding hurdler and Chinese Olympic champion Liu Xiang. The shoes, estimated to be valued at HK$238,000 (US$30,502), are replica of the ones that Liu Xiang wore in creating the 110-meter hurdles record at the Lausanne Super Grand Prix in 2006. They will be on display at Hong Kong Sha Tin Racecourse on the third day of this  Chinese Lunar New Year, February 9.
